Days 1 & 2 Depart New Zealand for Vancouver, where on arrival you’ll settle in to your centrally located hotel, the perfect base from which to discover this great city. Included tours over the following days will showcase the beauty of Stanley Park, with its towering evergreens, scenic seawall and First Nations totem poles. Historic Gastown with its famous steam clock and colourful Chinatown, one of the largest in North America. Take in spectacular views from the Lions Gate Bridge and Prospect Point, ride the gondola up Grouse Mountain for sweeping vistas, and enjoy a lively lumberjack show and the chance to see grizzly bears. You’ll also visit the world- famous Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park, where tree-top walks, rainforest trails and cliff face cantilevered walkways immerse you in the natural beauty of British Columbia.

one night Kelowna

Depart Vancouver and journey through British Columbia’s fertile valleys and rich mountain forests to Okanagan Lake. Travel along the lake to the resort city of Kelowna, beautifully situated on the lake shore and surrounded by orchards and vineyards.

two nights Banff

Day 4 Head north through the Okanagan Valley, famous for its peaches and vineyards, and climb up 4,364 ft high Rogers Pass, a National Historic Site in Glacier National Park. Make a photo stop at the Pass to enjoy the vistas of rugged mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls. Enter Yoho National Park and ascend Kicking Horse Pass at 5,332ft. Reach Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Canadian Rockies, mid afternoon.

Day 5 Next morning join an orientation tour and then enjoy the day exploring Banff, Canada’s first national park and home to 53 species of mammals. The most commonly seen are deer, elk, and big horn sheep. Walk, Bike, shop in the townsite, or relax at the hot springs.

two nights Jasper

Day 6 The journey today follows the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefield where you’ll experience an unforgettable ride onboard the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, before continuing north via Athabasca Falls and some of the most incredible scenery, arriving in Jasper later today.

Day 7 Free day at leisure for you to pursue personal passions or just relax and breathe in that crisp, clean mountain air.

one night Sun Peaks

Today travel past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 12,972 ft, en-route to the alpine village of Sun Peaks. Settle into lodge-style accommodation and splendour at the surrounding fresh forests, wildlife and ski trails ascending the mountains.

two nights Whistler

Day 9 Head south, following the once treacherous Cariboo Wagon Trail. Via Lillooet, Mile 0 of the Gold Rush Route, following the shores of Seton and Duffey Lakes with a late-afternoon arrival in Whistler. Enjoy an evening at leisure to start exploring this wonderful resort town with its stunning mountain scenery.

Day 10 Today is free to relax and explore Whistler Village. Stroll among boutique shops, enjoy the cafes and restaurants, or take the gondola up Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain. At the summit, alpine trails, snowfields and stunning vistas await and you may even spot a bear.

two nights Victoria

Day 11 Set sail across the Strait of Georgia, known for its Mediterranean-type climate, for beautiful Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. This afternoon enjoy a tour of world-famous Butchart Gardens. Rated among the top ten gardens in the world, this former limestone quarry has been transformed into 22 hectares of spectacular floral displays, manicured lawns, fountains and themed landscapes. It’s a true feast for the senses and an inspiration to garden lovers worldwide.

Day 12 A day at leisure in this charming English-style city. Explore the colourful Fisherman’s Wharf, perhaps visit the Royal BC Museum, browse the boutiques of Government Street, or relax over afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. In the evening, take a stroll along the waterfront with its grand Parliament Buildings, adorned with 3,333 sparkling light bulbs. Magnificent by night, glorious by day.

Steep cliffs and glacier-covered mountains flank this fjord, fringed by the largest intact coastal temperate rain forest in the United States. Old- growth trees colonized Tracy Arm’s mouth long ago as the Ice Age retreated. It’s not unusual to see bears, whales and mountain goats roaming across various corners of this pristine area—not to mention chubby baby seals resting on the ice floes, or ‘growlers’ as they’re known. On the same day we cruise on to Alaska’s capital…….

The Capital of Alaska and known not only for gold but for its stunningly beautiful views of glaciers, mountains and crystal-clear water. Numerous shore excursions are available. These include a cable car ride, or optional excursions to the Mendenhall Glacier and gardens, Salmon fishing or perhaps a Seaplane adventure where you can witness the magnitude of the five-glaciers from a unique perspective.

This town was the gateway to the Goldfields for those who once flocked to Alaska and the Yukon in the hope of striking it rich. In 1898 Skagway was Alaska’s largest town and here you can visit the old Saloons, and Gambling Houses or take an optional excursion on the White Pass Railway to the Yukon, something we highly recommend.

Experience epic glaciers and awesome scenery in this ‘UNESCO’ World Heritage Site. Breathe in crisp fresh air as you glide past icebergs looking out for carving ice, whales, porpoises and seals.

Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. Along with the gold and timber industries it soon became the 4th largest city in Alaska. Its rich native heritage includes the world’s oldest collection of totem poles. There will be plenty of time to visit the quaint stores and wander along the board walks to see the salmon leap.

Relax on deck as you pass by forests in 100 shades of green. Watch out for black bears, mountain goats, bald eagles’ sea-otters, humpback and killer whales.

Early in the morning the Zaandam docks at Canada’s 3 rd largest city. With its rich ethnic mix, stunningly beautiful parks and bustling natural harbour, it’s hard to believe it had its beginnings with a small sawmill and a community that surrounded it. Leave your luggage at one of the on-site storage facilities and enjoy this wonderful city unencumbered for the day.

All good things must come to an end. Late afternoon you’ll be transferred to Vancouver Airport to begin the journey homeward, leaving you with indelible memories of Canada’s majestic Rockies, the wilderness of Alaska, and new friendships forged along the way.

VANCOUVER – CALGARY
two nights Calgary

Day 20 On return to the port of Vancouver you’ll fly to Calgary, where you’ll enjoy the festivities and excitement of the famous Calgary Stampede, with reserved evening tickets for the spectacular Chuckwagon Races and what is universally acclaimed as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.”

Day 21 Today is free to explore Calgary, or you may prefer to return to the Stampede and visit the exhibits, events and enjoy the diverse entertainment. This evening, you may like to enjoy dinner from one of the highest vantage points in the city at the Calgary Tower.

A final day to explore the city or return again to the Stampede showgrounds and make the most of this magnificent event and effervescent city before flying out later today, beginning the journey homeward.
